Equipping Faith Church is a church founded upon prayer and intercession. It is founded upon the scripture Ephesians 4:11-16 specifically verse 12: “For the equipping (preparing, training, making fully qualified for service) of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the edifying (building up) of the body of Christ.” Equipping Faith Church exist to equip and release God’s people in service to the body of Christ and the community.
Equipping Faith Church was birthed in March 2003. We held our first Vision Planning meeting at the home of Pastor Terry. There were 18 members that had committed themselves to joining in the vision.
With the birthing of the ministry of Equipping Faith Church, our Senior Pastor and Founder spent months of negotiating for a particular building, which the Lord had told him would be our place of worship. Unexplainably at the last minute, that door was closed. Although the door was closed the Spirit of the Lord spoke to our Co-Pastor and declared that he would show her a wonder with the number three. With only a week to go before we were to hold our first service, the Spirit of the Lord miraculously touched a man’s heart and he showed us favor. On April 6, 2003 we opened our doors at 137 S. Garnett St. In June of that same year, Pastor received a phone call with the news that the first building that he had originally saw as our place of worship was once again available. In September of 2003 we moved in our current facility at 549 S. Williams St. In June of 2006 the ministry was able through God to purchase the entire facility. We went from three buildings to four buildings.
